What Events are on that I can attend as a partner?
We have Partner only events and the main WES events that Partners will be invited to as well as regional cluster events that you may also be interested in. CLICK HERE to see a full listing on Partner events.
How can I engage with WES as a partner?
As a WES Partner you should receive regular communication of all the things you can get involved with, these include Partner only knowledge sharing sessions, main WES Events, virtual events. If you are not recieving regular communication please email your Partnerships Manager or partners@wes.org.uk. Follow our social media too to be kept up to date: Linkedin, Twitter, & Instagram.
How can I engage with other partners?
You can network with Partners at Partner Sessions and WES Events. If you require a more direct intro for a specific initiative, contact your Partnership Manager.
How can I plan a WES event at my company?
You can plan a variety of WES themed events in your workplace. They could be conference style to include an inspirational speaker. They could be fund raising to sponsor a WES event or to sponsor a Mentee. Contact the WES team and we will help you plan your event.
How can I get a speaker for an event I’m attending?
Email your Partnerships Manager with the details and we will engage with our network of engineers to find you a speaker.
How can I attract more women to apply for job rules?
- Are your job vacancies using the right language so as to not alienate women?
- Is your organisation offering genuinely flexible schedules?
- Do you offer Paternity Leave?
- Simplify your job descriptions, and use gender neutral language
- Does your website have a balanced inclusive mix of images?
I’ve used all my job credits, can I buy more?
Yes you can purchase more credits easily just contact your Partnerships manager or partners@wes.org.uk.
What can I get my members or staff involved in at WES?
- WES Membership You receive a number of WES memberships that you can designate to specific individuals, with this membership they can access their regional cluster network, cluster events, WES support and much more.
- WE50 Every year in celebration of INWED WES does the WE50, which celebrated the top 50 women in engineering, every year there is a different theme, nominations open in March and winners are announced around the INWED week 23rd June.
- She’s an Engineer This campaign is to showcase your women engineers, usually in the first person, women share their stories, why they wanted to become engineers, what challenges they have faced throughout their career and any highlights.
- Judging opportunities WES has many prestigious awards, we are always seeking judges who want to support us.
- Speaking opportunities WES holds Partner knowledge sharing events as well as conferences and virtual events, we are always looking for speakers to share their experiences, challenges and successes, as a Partner, we want to engage you to share at our events.
How do I get involved with my local cluster group?
All our Cluster Co-Ordinators can be viewed HERE or email your Partnership Manager for more details.
How do I allocate the memberships we get as part of our package?
There are many members of your workforce that would benefit from a Partner sponsored WES membership:
- You could create an internal inclusive network and allocate this group the WES memberships
- Your D&I or HR managers could have a membership
- Your Senior Management could get a membership
- You could create a WES ambassador who then receives a WES membership
