Daphne Jackson Fellowships are unique. They offer the opportunity to return to a career in research after a break of at least two years for family, caring or health reasons.
Our fellowships enable people to overcome the challenges of returning to a career as a researcher or research technical professional. They ensure that skills, talent, training and career promise are not lost.
We support people through our application process for a fellowship that combines a personalised programme of retraining and mentorship. Our fellows gain the confidence and skills they need to succeed and enable them to generate novel, high-quality research findings or make essential contributions to the technical research environment.

At FM, we bring a unique risk management focus to commercial property insurance. Our clients look to us for cost-effective insurance and risk-financing solutions to minimize business interruption and the financial impact of a possible loss. We are driven by a core philosophy that the majority of loss is preventable. Fires, floods and other catastrophes do happen but with proper planning and strategy, you can minimize the impact or eliminate the risk altogether. We take a proactive approach to risk, working with clients to evaluate their global exposure and ensure resilience is built into key decisions. If companies don’t do this and experience a loss, they are at risk of potentially losing revenue, market share and shareholder value, not to mention the major reputational hit that may also follow. With nearly 200 years of experience, we offer a one-of-a-kind, engineering-based approach to risk. Using local on-site engineers, we assess facilities to consistent worldwide standards, based on scientific research conducted exclusively for property risk. If you can properly identify a risk, you can mitigate it. FM believes that resilience is a choice every company should make if they want to thrive in a volatile world.

The company owns and operates gas storage facilities with a total capacity of more than 7 billion cubic meters.
Uniper aims to be carbon-neutral by 2040. To achieve this, the company is transforming its power plants and facilities and investing in flexible, dispatchable power generation units. The company plans to offset any remaining CO2 emissions by high-quality CO2-offsets.
In the UK, Uniper owns and operates a flexible generation portfolio of power stations, a fast-cycle gas storage facility and two high pressure gas pipelines, from Theddlethorpe to Killingholme and from Blyborough to Cottam. We also have significant long-term regasification capacity at the Grain LNG terminal in Kent, to convert LNG back to natural gas.
