These stories aim to:

  • Guide career choices: Learn about the diverse paths these women took to become engineers.
  • Encourage through role models: Discover the challenges they overcame and the advice they have for aspiring engineers.
  • Educate on engineering: Explore the many different fields of engineering and the impact they have on the world.

She’s an engineer features the career profiles of women from all career stages and backgrounds, but in honour of the 2025 WE50 Nominations now being open – we have highlighted some of our past winners and the achievements that got them recognised.

Engineering thrives on collaboration, innovation, and the power of diverse minds working together. The theme for the Top 50 Women in Engineering Awards 2025, Together We Engineer, celebrates the collective strength of engineers who unite across disciplines, challenge conventional boundaries, and drive progress through teamwork. Whether enhancing projects through group efforts, integrating unique perspectives, or fostering connections that push engineering forward, this year’s awards recognise those who exemplify the spirit of collaboration in engineering.
