The initial inspiration for an engineering career was encouragement at a parents evening by her engineering teacher with her father who is also an engineer. It was expressed if she pursues engineering, she could go as far as she wanted. She had not considered a degree before due financial costs. Exploring apprenticeship opportunities was the perfect solution and 3 years later she received an offer from Cummins.
