On the 26th October 2024, we held our Annual General Meeting. Thank you to all those who attended and thank you to everyone who shared their feedback with us as we want this to be an inclusive, useful and enjoyable event for our members.
80% of you rated it Excellent or Good overall, and 100% of you rated the logistics and pre-meeting logistics as being handled well. Feedback was that it was a positive and constructive meeting that was well organised, with a feeling that the AGM has transitioned to a more professional space. Questions were considered to have been answered insightfully.
67% of you said that your preference was for the AGM to be held online, as this is effective and valued by those non-London based members. Of those who preferred an in-person event, many said that some sort of virtual access alongside that would be essential to make the session inclusive.
We noted that people would like space and facility for members to speak rather than just post in the chat and for members to opt to stay on at the end to network virtually.
Generally, there is a need and want for in-person events to support building new and stronger relationships with the network, but these are being done and we will continue to more in a broader range of regions.
86% of you were very satisfied or satisfied with the content, noting it was interesting to hear about the wider activities going on and great to hear from volunteers through the videos. It would be better to have supporting slides for the financial sections, and we shall certainly do this next year to make it easier to follow.
