Engineering is all around us, and so are engineers - practical, imaginative, sociable and innovative people who design, make and improve hidden components like electronic circuits through to large scale complexes like the new Hong Kong airport.

Engineering makes a difference to society. Practically everything that makes our lives better and safer and more interesting has started as an engineering idea in someone's head.

Engineering makes a difference to the environment. Engineering makes a difference to the environment. Engineers are developing energy sources and new processes so that recycling is easier.

Engineering makes a difference to our health. Engineers help give us clean, safe water, new medicines and advanced medical techniques to make the world a safer, better, healthier place.
